The rising trend of new Covid-19 cases continues, Ohio added more than 14,000 cases on Friday, report

Ohio – The rising number of new Covid-19 cases continues and it looks like we are at the start of what appears to be new Covid-19 winter wave.

According to the Ohio Department of Health’s report issued on Friday, the state added 14,414 new Covid-19 cases and 443 additional Covid-19 related deaths.

Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of reported Covid-19 cases in Ohio reached 1,910,991, while the total number of Covid-19 related deaths is 28,720.

The number of hospitalizations also remains high as 214 new people were hospitalized, while 17 more admissions were made into the ICU.

New vaccination numbers were not available and were not expected to be updated again until Monday, with health department officials saying that a database vendor would have a multi-day outage. As of Wednesday, 6,937,844 people in the state had at least started the vaccination process.
