Warren County low-income families may apply for HEAP, Water Assistance Program

Warren County, Ohio – Low-income families in Warren County may be able to get help with their electricity and water bills through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and Water Assistance Program.

The Winter Crisis Program has been established to help low-income families stay warm throughout the winter months.

Those who need help setting up new services, paying service transfer fees, having only 25% or less of their bulk fuel supply left, or having a household member who has had COVID-19 in the last 12 months will be given first priority in order to stay warm this winter.

The program will be available until the 31st of March in 2022.

Residents in Warren County who qualify for the Low-Income Water Assistance Program may also apply for the program.

This program assists eligible Ohioans with paying their water and wastewater bills when they get a disconnect, new service, or shut-off notification. The program runs from December 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

The first thing that clients need to do is call Warren County Community Services, Inc. at 513-970-6737 in order to submit an application.
