Montgomery County, Ohio – A young girl was killed in a crash in Harrison Township when the driver collided with a parked vehicle.
Officers were summoned to North Main Street and Julia Avenue at 7:40 p.m.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, when officers got on the scene, a preliminary investigation revealed that a teenage girl was driving a silver Nissan Altima south on North Main Street when she lost control of the car and crashed into an RTA pole before hitting a parked vehicle. She had two passengers in the back of the vehicle, one of whom was an adult and the other of whom was a small girl.
The driver and the man who was riding in the backseat were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and the young female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe that speeding might have played a role in the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
