Dayton, Ohio – Due to the Juneteenth holiday, residents of Dayton, Moraine, and Jefferson Township will have their trash and recycling collection pushed back by one day during the week of June 20.

All week long, the City of Dayton will be one day late with garbage and recycling collection.

The day that waste is collected in Moraine will now take place on Saturday, June 25, instead of Friday, June 24. In addition, there will be a one-day delay in the trash collection that takes place in Jefferson Township.

On Saturday, June 25, there will be a collection of bulk items and a collection of recyclable materials in Jefferson Township.

A Dayton spokesperson said in a media release that it is recommended that neighbors have their containers ready for collection by 6:30 in the morning and place them outside on the days of collection to assist with maintaining the collection schedule.
