Dayton, Ohio – Today is the start of a traffic enforcement operation in Montgomery County aimed at reducing the number of traffic offenses that cause crashes.
On Thursday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., officers from the Dayton Police Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Riverside Police Department, the Moraine Police Department, and the Vandalia Police Department, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol, will all take part in the traffic enforcement operation.
In high-crash and high-traffic locations, such as Interstate 75, United States 35, state Route 4, Salem Avenue, and Main Street, enforcement patrols will be taking place.
Officers will concentrate their efforts on traffic offenses that cause crashes, such as reckless driving, drunk driving, and speeding.
