Tenant stabbed by his landlord over a water dispute

Columbus, Ohio – According to authorities in Columbus, Ohio, a landlord reportedly stabbed one of his tenants while attempting to shut off the water to the man’s apartment on Sunday.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., officers arrived and spoke with the tenant, a 58-year-old male, as well as a witness about the incident.

The tenant spoke to officers and said that his 30-years-old landlord came to his apartment and attempted to shut the water off.

The dispute over the water erupted, and the landlord pulled out an instrument he was using to chop away ice and snow around the water shutoff and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

Medics rendered aid to the tenant at the scene.

The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
