Police: “Dog not aggressive toward the baby who died on New Year’s Eve”

Dayton, Ohio – The initial investigation indicates that the dog wasn’t aggressive toward the baby that died on New Year’s Eve, according to the police.

After a report on December 31 at 7 p.m. officers arrived at South Findlay Street and found a dog lying on top of an infant and noticed that the child was unconscious and wasn’t breathing. The girl, Raelynn Larrison, was immediately taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to the police.

Animal Resource Center was called to follow up with the animals in the home.

Police is still investigating this incident and the facts gathered in this investigation will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
