Dayton, Ohio – A man described by a witness as elderly was taken to a hospital Thursday night after he was hit by an SUV at Brown Street and Irving Avenue in Dayton.
The accident was reported just after 9 p.m. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch sergeant said.
“Someone just got hit by a car,” a witness said to a 9-1-1 operator. “It’s an elderly man. He’s walking but he’s bleeding.”
The victim’s condition is not known.
The driver of the SUV that hit the man stopped and waited for police, the caller said.
