Ross County, Ohio – The discovery of human remains in Ross County prompted authorities to conduct an investigation.
Hunters in the area tipped the Ross County Sheriff’s Office that they had encountered an abandoned, suspicious campsite in the 1200 block of Chester Hill Road.
Deputies were sent to investigate the report and discovered human remains in the vicinity of the campsite.
The remains were turned over to the Montgomery County Coroner in order to ascertain their identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
