Dayton, Ohio – With intentions for a new site in the Dayton area, the Oklahoma-based convenience store business QuikTrip Corporation is focusing on increasing its footprint in Ohio. Located at 2301 Wagner Ford Road in Harrison Township, this new store represents the third QuikTrip location in the Miami Valley and throughout the state.
Originally a Holiday Inn, then Ramada Plaza, most recently The Hotel Dayton, the selected property has a long history. Currently converting this site into a Remote Travel Center, QuikTrip promises a more open design than its conventional outlets. Covering about 8,200 square feet, the proposed business will have a more significant lot and an improved QT kitchen area providing freshly produced food and drink items, together with grab-and-go options including sandwiches, salads, wraps, and various pastries.
The corporate communications manager for QuikTrip, Aisha Jefferson, clarified that although the company is aiming for a spring 2025 completion, the work is still in its early phases. This new center’s architecture will satisfy visitors’ needs by including lots of services and enough of space.
Jefferson said that the area’s strong economy and well-traveled highway affected the company’s choice to grow into Dayton since QuikTrip believes Dayton’s site will be a major access point for it in Ohio.
With its first store opening in June, the company started its growth in Ohio at 2121 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Setting a standard for subsequent sites, this site boasts a bigger lot and more spacious store architecture that allows six diesel bays for trucks and 16 cars for gas.
Earlier in March, designs for the second Dayton-area site were displayed. This site is at the southeast corner of Kessler-Cowlesville Road and CR 25A in Tipp City. Originally home to Knickerbocker Pools, the 1.7-acre land was lately purchased by the city. Upon approval, the existing structures will be demolished to make room for the new QuikTrip facility.
