Wisconsin – In a shocking incident in Wisconsin, a 39-year-old woman, identified as S. Krebs, is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide after the fatal stabbing of her fiancé, identified only as J.J.C. The unsettling event unfolded on July 18, leaving the local community and the victim’s acquaintances in disbelief.
According to a detailed criminal complaint, on the evening of July 18, witnesses J.R.P. and his girlfriend C.L.C. arrived at Krebs’ residence expecting a casual evening. Instead, they were met with a gruesome scene: J.J.C., Krebs’ fiancé, was found bleeding profusely in the kitchen, with Krebs reportedly standing over him in the kitchen. According to reports, Krebs then looked at her friend and asked them to tell police that J.J.C. had inflicted the wounds on himself.
The witnesses reported that Krebs was adamant about not returning to prison, echoing her plea, “I can’t go back to prison; I can’t go back to prison. Just tell the cops J.J.C. stabbed himself.” This claim was underlined by the female witness’s firm belief that Krebs was responsible for the stabbing, further supported by her boyfriend, who highlighted Krebs’ extensive criminal record involving similar behavior. According to reports, Krebs “accidentally” shot her ex-boyfriend in the leg in 2016.
After the stabbing, Krebs purportedly kissed the dying man, told him she loved him, and promptly left the scene. This action was perceived by witnesses as a mixture of calm and hurried panic, as Krebs seemed to be grappling with the gravity of her actions while also attempting to flee. Upon arrival, law enforcement quickly took control of the scene, with Krebs being located at the home of another acquaintance, J.F.H. At this location, Krebs reportedly made statements suggesting her innocence, claiming she witnessed her fiancé killing himself.
The history of Krebs paints a troubled portrait, filled with prior convictions ranging from battery to possession of controlled substances. Her current charges not only include first-degree intentional homicide but also touch on deeper issues, given her history and the alleged premeditation seen in this case. Court records indicate that from 2011 to 2022, she had multiple convictions, including battery, possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin, as well as injury by negligent use of a weapon or explosive.
Krebs, who had recently discussed wedding plans and family court appearances with J.J.C., seemed to have been struggling with personal and legal pressures. Handwritten notes found by the police after her arrest revealed her inner turmoil and the chaotic moments leading up to the incident. These notes provided a glimpse into her perspective, suggesting a rapid and tragic escalation that culminated in her fiancé’s death.
As the case progresses, Krebs is being held in jail with a bond set at $1 million, reflecting the severity of the charges against her. No trial date has been set, and she has not entered a plea. If convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, she faces a potential life sentence. The incident has stirred discussions on domestic violence, mental health, and the criminal justice system’s handling of individuals with extensive legal histories.
