Dayton, Ohio – The University of Dayton has announced the appointment of four distinguished alumni to its Board of Trustees for the 2024–25 term, each bringing a wealth of experience from various sectors, including business, nonprofits, government, and communications.
New Trustees Enhance University Governance
The new trustees, Hailee Rennels, Lisa Rich-Milan, Lisa Payne Wansley, and Sharon D. White, began their three-year terms on July 1. Their diverse professional backgrounds are expected to greatly benefit the board, according to UD Board Chairperson Richard J. (Rick) Omlor. Omlor expressed confidence in the positive impact these individuals will have on what he described as an “engaged and high-functioning board.”
Hailee Rennels, who graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, will serve as a recent alumni trustee. Currently working in acquisition marketing at JPMorgan Chase, Rennels has a rich history of involvement at UD, including leadership roles in student organizations and ongoing participation in alumni activities.
Lisa Rich-Milan, a 1985 accounting graduate, is the co-founder and CEO of Cannovation Clinical Research Partners LLC. Her extensive experience spans several high-profile companies in the healthcare sector. Rich-Milan is also active in community service, contributing to various organizations and boards.
Lisa Payne Wansley, who graduated in 1984 with a degree in political science and later earned a master’s degree from Fordham University, brings a wealth of experience from her time in government and educational roles. She recently retired as the senior vice president of environmental justice, community and legislative relations at the New York Power Authority.
Sharon D. White, a 1978 graduate in television communications, has a 30-year career in communications and community relations. Currently, she is the system director of community and government relations and site communications for Premier Health. White has been recognized with numerous awards for her professional achievements and community service.
These appointments come at a time when the university is celebrating significant achievements and facing new challenges in higher education. The trustees are poised to guide the university through strategic decisions, leveraging their combined expertise in their respective fields.
The university also expressed gratitude to six trustees whose terms concluded in 2024, acknowledging their years of dedicated service and contributions to the board’s success.
This group is expected to strengthen the University of Dayton’s mission and enhance its capacity to serve its students and the broader community effectively.
