Ohio sees 899 new COVID-19 cases

Ohio – Health officials reported 899 new COVID-19 cases in Ohio on Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Ohio has recorded a total of 2,644,828 COVID-19 cases and 35,493 deaths.

A total of 111,541 people have been hospitalized in Ohio since March 2020, and 30 people have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours due to virus-related complications. Five of the 30 people have been admitted to the intensive care unit.

The 21-day case average is below 3,300.

The Ohio Department of Health stated that 1,460 people began the vaccination process, bringing the total to 7,212,253, or 61.7 percent of the state’s total population. 3,882 Ohioans received the booster shot.
