At 4:51 p.m. on Tuesday, 1.37 inches of rain had fallen in Dayton, according to the National Weather Service. According to the National Weather Service, this broke the previous record of 0.84 inches, which was recorded in 1975.
Last week, on February 17, 1.22 inches of rain poured in Dayton, setting yet another daily rainfall record. This broke a more than century-old record set in 1910.
Columbus also set a new daily rainfall record today, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 4:51 p.m. on Tuesday, 1.39 inches of rain had fallen in Columbus, Ohio. That broke the previous record of.96 inches, which was set in 1971.
