“I was in constant pain,” Woman warns about the danger of fillers after ending with a huge hole in her cheek

Women use a variety of beauty products in an effort to maintain their youthful appearance for as long as possible so that they may be admired for their beauty.

However, not all of the items that people use are safe, and some of them might have effects in the long run that can leave them with scars on their bodies rather than make them seem beautiful.

Such is the case with a woman who, after reaching the age of 40, decided to have some products used that would improve the tightness of her face skin, but little did she know that the products that would be applied to her face were actually illegal in the U.S. and would leave a horrific injury on her cheek and make her feel sick as well.

The biggest mistake the woman, Gina, made was that instead of going to a licensed medical professional to get the work on her face done, she went to a co-worker.

Even though the fillers were effective at first, four years later, Gina’s skin began to show signs of developing an inflammatory response to them.

She ended up developing a massive granuloma under her right eye because the irritation in that area became so severe over time.

It came out that Gina’s co-worker had injected her with silicone instead of filler. The silicone injection formed a huge growth over time, leaving her with a hole in her cheek.

Since then, Gina has undergone a series of surgeries to get the problem fixed, but none of them have been successful.

“The first one wasn’t bad, they removed the granuloma but it came back. Four months later they tried to get the silicone out and that didn’t work because the granulomas had come back. Then a month later it just got so much worse. The granulomas actually made a hole in my cheek. They actually did a flap to the lower eyelid area to reattach the skin,” Gina said.

After a year had passed, she had to go through a second local skin flap procedure, but the granulomas came back in less than a month.

“When you can’t sleep and you’re in constant pain it’s hard to think on your feet all the time. I’m in agony, I don’t sleep, my hair started thinning like a hair loss and I just started feeling weak and fatigued, it’s been a nightmare,” said Gina.

Gina underwent two additional surgeries, bringing the total number of times she went under the knife to seven. She was eventually satisfied with the results and her body began to heal quickly after that. Her hair was no longer falling out and started to grow back again.

“My thought process is actually getting faster. I mean, it’s just a miracle. It’s just life-changing,” Gina added.
