Health officials reported 1,051 new COVID-19 cases, 242 additional deaths in Ohio

Ohio – Health officials reported 1,051 new COVID-19 cases and 242 additional deaths in Ohio on Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Ohio has recorded a total of 2,654,991 COVID-19 cases and 36,822 deaths.

A total of 112,480 people have been hospitalized in Ohio since March 2020, and 117 people have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours due to virus-related complications. 6 of the 117 people have been admitted to the intensive care unit.

The 21-day case average is below 1,900.

The Ohio Department of Health stated that 1,916 people began the vaccination process, bringing the total to 7,226,496 or 61.82 percent of the state’s total population.
