Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) have successfully reached an agreement to resolve their collective bargaining differences. Both parties took the time to understand each other’s positions and interpretations of a previously tentative agreement and decided to set aside their differences for the benefit of Dayton Police officers and the safety of the community.
In an effort to resolve the situation, the City of Dayton has agreed to implement the tentative agreement as requested by the FOP. While the city initially believed that the agreement was not meant to be interpreted in this way, they recognize the importance of retaining their officers and maintaining a positive relationship with the FOP.
“We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts to support our officers and keep Dayton safe,” said representatives from both the City and the FOP, emphasizing the shared commitment to community safety and officer well-being.
This agreement marks an important step toward fostering a cooperative relationship between the City of Dayton and its law enforcement personnel, ensuring stability for both the officers and the community they serve.
