A man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home, but shortly after entering the home he received an unpleasant surprise for which he had to receive treatment at a hospital.
The 31-year-old man, Larondrick, entered his ex-girlfriend’s home with the intention of robbing her but was unaware she was inside her home at the moment. Larondrick brandished a gun but was unaware she also had something in her hand to fight him off.
After pointing the gun, the woman threw a pot of hot grease in his face to defend herself. The police were called after the incident and arrived at the woman’s home to investigate what happened. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the intruder suffering from severe burns on his face.
Police conducted an investigation that showed Larondrick entered the woman’s apartment through a window and brandished a gun after he saw her. At that point, as she was cooking, the woman had only a pot of hot grease nearby to defend herself, so she threw it in his face.
The intruder was taken to a hospital for treatment before being arrested. Larondrick is being held on a $300,000 bail. According to court records, he is charged with two felonies: burglary and domestic violence.
