Dayton unveils Graffiti Delete initiative to help residents and businesses keep neighborhoods clean and beautiful

Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton has introduced a new initiative aimed at making it easier for residents and businesses to report graffiti and request its removal throughout the community.

Called Graffiti Delete, the program carries one straightforward message: “See it, Report it, Delete it.”

Through the initiative, members of the public can send graffiti reports directly to a city team using the Dayton Delivers online portal. Residents do not need to create an account to submit a request.

Residents can report graffiti in a few steps

People who encounter graffiti are encouraged to take a photograph when possible. They can then visit the city’s graffiti reporting page to begin a request.

The online process allows users to enter the address where the graffiti was found or place a pin on a map to identify its location more precisely. They can also provide additional details and upload a photograph before submitting the report.

How the city handles the request depends on where the graffiti is located.

Graffiti found within the public right of way, including on sidewalks, retaining walls and in alleys, will be directed to the Dayton Department of Public Works for removal.

Reports involving graffiti on private property will instead be sent to the city’s Housing Division for further handling.

Dayton officials are encouraging residents and businesses to participate as part of the effort to keep the city clean and attractive.

Graffiti can be reported through the city’s online reporting system or by calling 937-333-4800.
