
Harrison Township, Ohio – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on October 24, 2026, giving residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.
The event provides a convenient and responsible option for people who have medications they no longer need and want to properly dispose of them.
Collection event planned in Harrison Township
The Sheriff’s Office will host the collection event at its Harrison Township Substation, located at 5945 North Dixie Drive. Residents can bring eligible medications to the location between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Several types of medications will be accepted during the event, including narcotics, non narcotics, over the counter medications, herbal products and veterinary medications.
However, officials noted that some items cannot be collected. Biohazard materials, illegal drugs, liquids and needles will not be accepted.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is designed to provide the public with a safe way to remove unwanted or expired medications from their homes while making sure those products are disposed of responsibly.
