
Washington Township, Ohio – Families and car enthusiasts are invited to spend part of their Sunday enjoying classic vehicles, ice cream, and several activities during Washington Township’s Annual Cruise-In to the Ice Cream Social.
The free event will take place Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Washington Township RecPlex, located at 895 Miamisburg-Centerville Road.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office encouraged residents to attend, saying the event is designed to provide an afternoon of entertainment for the entire family. Visitors can attend whether they are bringing a vehicle to display or simply want to enjoy the activities.
Classic cars and family activities planned
The Cruise-In will feature a car show with People’s Choice Awards, giving visitors an opportunity to see a variety of vehicles and select their favorites.
Ice cream and food will also be available, along with both outdoor and indoor activities. Other attractions include raffle prizes and fire and rescue demonstrations.
There is no cost to register a vehicle for the Cruise-In. The first 100 vehicles registered will also receive a swag bag. Vehicle owners interested in participating can register through Washington Township’s events website.
Visitors should also be aware that the RecPlex complex is currently under construction, resulting in special parking arrangements for the event.
General public parking will be available at Watts Middle School at 7056 McEwen Road. Attendees can then use a free shuttle to reach the event.
Accessible parking for people with disabilities will be available at the Joyce Young Center, located at 965 Miamisburg-Centerville Road.
With free admission, classic cars, food, ice cream and several activities planned, organizers are inviting residents to bring their families and spend Sunday afternoon enjoying the annual community event.
