Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton’s Department of Recreation is inviting families to embrace the autumn spirit at this year’s Fall Harvest Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, October 25, the annual community celebration will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Kettering Field, located at 444 N. Bend Blvd. in Dayton. The event will be held rain or shine, and both admission and parking are completely free.
The Fall Harvest Festival promises a lively afternoon packed with seasonal fun. Visitors can explore a festive pumpkin patch, enjoy music handpicked by a live DJ, and take part in a range of kid-friendly activities. For families seeking a bit of adventure, hayrides will offer a scenic experience through the autumn landscape.
Food trucks will also be on site, serving up warm seasonal favorites that pair perfectly with the crisp fall weather. Attendees are encouraged to bring along trick-or-treat bags, as plenty of treats will be available throughout the afternoon.
A highlight of the festival is the annual costume contest, open to children aged 12 and under. The contest begins promptly at 4 p.m., so young guests are urged to dress to impress and arrive early to register.
“Enjoy a pumpkin patch, DJ-selected tunes, a kids’ activities area, a hayride, and more,” the event organizers shared. The city’s recreation department has worked hard to ensure this event remains a cherished tradition, bringing the community together with safe, fun, and family-focused entertainment.
The Fall Harvest Festival is a great opportunity for local families to make memories, enjoy the fresh autumn air, and connect with neighbors. Whether you’re coming for the pumpkins, the music, or just a good time, this free event has something for everyone.
