Woman taken into custody after allegedly attacking several teachers

Kettering, Ohio – Authorities said the woman who attacked several teachers at the Kettering KinderCare center on Tuesday before driving away has been taken into custody.

In the early morning, police were sent to the daycare center at 1875 Ebert Avenue because someone called 911 and said there had been an argument ongoing.

Kettering Officer Tyler Johnson said, “Initially what we think is the parent came in, a verbal altercation began and then it kind of escalated to some physical assaults. It’s pretty unusual to have this type of altercation with parents and teachers in any kind of setting.”

The suspect was not on the scene when responding officers arrived, but they were able to stop her vehicle shortly after on Alex-Bell Road.

According to Johnson, the parent might be facing charges of assault and other charges in connection with some property damage at the childcare facility.

Tozene Jackson, 30, was taken into custody at the Kettering City Jail on charges of assault.

The teachers who were attacked did not need to be treated at a hospital because the injuries they sustained in the attack were not serious.
