Man, who waited for the grandmother of a 9-year-old girl to leave the store before he abducted the girl and indecently assaulted her twice, met his end in a car crash while attempting to evade the police

New York – A horrifying sequence of events unfolded in New York that culminated in the death of a man who had kidnapped and indecently assaulted a 9-year-old girl. The 64-year-old man, identified as W. Noel, 64, met his demise after a high-speed chase with the police, crashing his vehicle just a day after committing the grave offenses.

The ordeal began on a seemingly ordinary Thursday evening when a grandmother took her granddaughter shopping at a supermarket. The routine trip took a sinister turn when the grandmother momentarily left the child alone to use the restroom. It was during this brief moment that Noel seized the opportunity to approach the young girl.

According to Assistant Chief of Detectives J. Savino, Noel commanded the child to “Get in front of me” before forcibly taking her out of the store. He grabbed her by the hair and pushed her into his vehicle. He then drove a short distance away, where he se-ually assaulted her for the first time. A Good Samaritan inadvertently interrupted this assault, causing Noel to flee the scene briefly. He then returned to the vicinity of the supermarket, where he assaulted the girl a second time before abandoning her on the street.

The subsequent day, around 12:30 p.m., police officers spotted Noel’s vehicle. When they attempted to stop him, Noel fled, leading to a brief chase. The pursuit ended when Noel ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. He was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

This incident was particularly alarming as Noel was not initially identified in the police’s warning about the kidnapping. It was only after the local community and individuals who recognized him from supermarket footage came forward that his identity was confirmed. This swift community response played a crucial role in the events that followed.

Neighbors were disgusted that Noel a MTA Metro North Employee was involved in the heinous act. According to reports, Noel lives with his wife or girlfriend and there are reports he may have daughter with his wife or girlfriend. Noel was no stranger to criminal activities. His history included a 2022 arrest for a similar crime where he, armed with a knife, forced a woman into his vehicle. Fortunately, in that instance, the woman managed to escape.
