Springfield, Ohio – One person was eventually arrested after an hours-long standoff, including SWAT outside a Springfield home.
According to the information provided by the Springfield Police Department, the call reporting a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Fair Street was received at approximately 3:30 in the morning. The police reported that a man was inside the residence with a firearm and was refusing to come out.
More than 14 hours later, negotiating techniques used by authorities at the end yielded results since the man turned himself in without any further incident, according to Sgt. Deric Nichols.
There were no reported injuries in the standoff.
The man was taken into custody at Clark County Jail.
Information about the charges brought against the man was not released.
