Washington Township, Ohio – A father was taken into custody after allegedly hitting his daughter and his girlfriend inside their residence in Washington Township, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
Around midnight, deputies were sent to the 5700 block of Oakhill Ave. NE.
According to the victim’s statement, her boyfriend, a 37-year-old Alliance man, hit her multiple times in the face and also punched their 4-year-old daughter in the face.
According to authorities, the woman and the little girl hid in the bedroom when the man began shooting at them and were able to escape outside upon the arrival of the officers.
Both of them were hurt in the attack and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Responding officers said the man started a fire in the home after noticing them outside, and shortly after, put the fire out and surrendered.
He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated arson, domestic violence, and endangering children.
