
Dayton, Ohio – In an effort to prevent drunk driving and promote safe holiday celebrations, Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck is once again reminding residents to make smart choices this Christmas season. Through the ArriveSafe program, county residents can receive a $20 Uber voucher to ensure a safe ride home during the holiday period.
Free Uber Rides Available from December 24 to December 26
The holiday ArriveSafe promotion runs from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24 through 6:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26. During this window, Montgomery County residents who find themselves in need of a safe ride can use the free Uber voucher, valued up to $20, for transportation home.
“Okay, Montgomery County residents! You know the rules – NO DRINKING and DRIVING. Have a sober designated driver or use ArriveSafe for an Uber ride home. Scan this QR code for a $20 voucher. Merry Christmas and have a SAFE HOLIDAY!” the announcement reads.
To claim the voucher, residents can simply scan the provided QR code from the image above or use the direct link here: https://vouchers.uber.com/c/REKNCFLCWPE?is_qrcode=true. Once applied, the credit will be added directly to their Uber account.
With the holidays being a time of increased travel and celebration, the ArriveSafe initiative aims to reduce impaired driving and keep roads safe. Prosecutor Heck and local officials urge everyone to plan ahead, avoid drinking and driving, and help make this a safe and joyful holiday for all.
