Indiana – In a harrowing case in Indiana, a young couple faces severe allegations of child abuse after a 2-year-old boy was admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries that may forever alter his life if he manages to survive. On November 19, emergency services were alerted to a dire situation involving an unconscious toddler at a residence. The boy was initially taken to the hospital, where medical staff quickly determined the gravity of his condition, prompting an urgent transfer to a children’s hospital for specialized care. According to reports, the doctors’ prognosis are grim, as they said the boy would “likely not survive.”
At the children’s hospital, medical professionals cataloged the extent of the child’s injuries, which included multiple skull fractures, bleeding in the brain, extensive marks covering various parts of his body, and suspicious marks on his right foot. The severity and stages of healing of the injuries suggested prolonged abuse, and one particular set of marks on his body seemed to be shaped like a hand.
