Dayton, Ohio – A witness called 911 to report a shooting that took place near Gem City Car Wash on North Gettysburg Avenue.
During a 911 call, the caller said, “I’m in the restaurant on Gettysburg and Free Pike, the Dragon City, and someone is running through shooting.”
In response to dispatch’s question about whether the person was firing inside the restaurant, the caller said that he was not inside the restaurant but running behind it. He also mentioned that the bullets almost struck his vehicle.
Montgomery County Regional Dispatch linked this report to a call about a man shot in the area of the Gem City Car Wash on North Gettysburg Avenue that came in at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to authorities, the victim was transported to a hospital by a third party and not by a medic.
