Colerain Township, Ohio – The mother of the boy who was found walking alone in Colerain Township has been identified and authorities are now looking for her.
The boy was found at Gaines and Sheed Road. Police say he is 5-years-old and is non-verbal due to autism.
Charges have been filed against the mother, according to police.
Detectives signed a warrant to track down the 32-year-old mother, Heather Nicole Adkins.
According to authorities, the boy lived in Shelbyville, Indiana, and had been abandoned 75 miles away from home before being discovered by police an hour later.
The identity of the boy was not revealed.
