Two people hospitalized following a crash on US 35

Beavercreek Township, Ohio – Following a crash with a semi-truck on US 35, two people were taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ahmed Yarrow, 43, was driving a Freightliner Semi west on US-35 when he failed to yield at the junction of Trebein Road, colliding with a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The accident occurred shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The driver of the pickup truck, Michael Davis, 22, was ejected from his vehicle, according to the Ohio State Police. At the time of the accident, he was not wearing a seatbelt. The Beavercreek Township Fire Department transported Davis to Miami Valley Hospital. Davis was in critical condition.

Beavercreek Township Emergency Medical Services transported Yarrow to Soin Medical Center.

While crews worked to clear the site, US 35 was shut down by Treibein Road for more than five hours.
