Two people airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle accident in Shelby County

Shelby County, Ohio – A serious two-vehicle accident occurred in the early morning of Thursday in Shelby County, which required the response of two medical helicopters.

Crews responded to the report of an accident at 1:10 a.m. just west of Sidney, at the junction of Hardin Wapak Road and Russell Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, crews found two people trapped inside the vehicles that were significantly damaged as a result of the crash. Two medical helicopters also responded and transferred the two injured people to a hospital for treatment.

Information regarding the conditions of the two people that were taken to the hospital was not released. According to the latest known information, one of the injured people was a pregnant woman.
