Two girls flown to hospital after being struck by a vehicle

Springfield, Ohio – Two girls were flown to a hospital for treatment after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Springfield.

The girls were hit by the vehicle around 8:45 p.m. in the 3800 block of Crabill Road, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher. Officers who went to the scene found that the car was going north when it hit the two girls and the dog.

The victims were airlifted to a hospital by CareFlight. The driver was being held in custody while filling out statements.

Information about the condition of the two girls was not released.
