Trash and recycling pickup in Dayton, Moraine, and Jefferson Township rescheduled due to the Christmas holiday

Dayton, Ohio – Residents in Dayton, Moraine, and Jefferson Township are advised to take note of changes to their regular trash and recycling schedules due to the Christmas holiday. The City of Dayton Division of Waste Collection has announced temporary shifts in service dates to accommodate the holiday break.

Adjusted Pickup Days by Location

In Dayton, all trash and recycling normally collected on Thursday, December 25 will instead be picked up on Friday, December 26.

In Moraine, services for trash, recycling, and bulk waste that were originally scheduled for Friday, December 26 will move to Saturday, December 27.

In Jefferson Township, the trash collection scheduled for Thursday, December 25 will also be moved to Friday, December 26, while recycling and bulk waste originally set for Friday, December 26 will be collected on Saturday, December 27.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and set out their bins on the appropriate rescheduled day by 6 a.m. to avoid missed pickups. These adjustments ensure that waste services continue with minimal disruption while allowing staff time off for the holiday.
