Teenager arrested in connection with armed robberies in D.C.

Washington, D.C. – A 15-year-old kid has been arrested in connection with armed robberies in the Third District of the District of Columbia in January.

Several other suspects are being sought by police.

After approaching the victims and brandishing a firearm, the suspects stole personal belongings from them, including four iPhones and a Hyundai Sonata, before leaving the scene.

The following crimes, which occurred on January 23, are given in chronological order across an eight-minute period:

  • At approximately 1:20 pm, on the 14th and T Street, Northwest
  • At approximately 1:24 pm, in the 1800 block of 10th Street, Northwest
  • At approximately 1:28 pm, in the 1500 block of 8th Street, Northwest

An arrest was made on Thursday, April 21, and a 15-year-old kid was charged with the crimes.

These instances are still under investigation at this time.

The District of Columbia Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anybody who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual or people responsible for a violent crime committed in the city.
