Springfield, Ohio – A shooting incident in Springfield just after 12 p.m. on Sunday was fatal for one person, according to the local authorities.
The Springfield Police Department confirmed that first responders arrived at the scene in the 1200 block of Linden Avenue following a 911 call in regards to a shooting. When they arrived at the scene, a woman was suffering from serious gunshot wounds and was in critical condition. Shortly after, she was pronounced dead.
At this time, the identity of the victim was not made available to the public.
The Springfield Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office didn’t provide more details about the incident. It’s unclear if the local authorities have made any arrests so far.
