Springfield, Ohio – A woman who had allegedly abused her children has been taken into custody.
The mother of the 2-year-old and the 3-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, the Springfield Police Department said.
The children were transported to a hospital for treatment of severe injuries they sustained as a result of the alleged abuse.
The alleged abuse was reported to authorities on Saturday by a person who knows the family.
The woman is facing multiple charges and is currently being held in the Clark County Jail.
