Dayton, Ohio – Terminal Drive, the main access road to the Dayton International Airport terminal and its parking areas, is currently undergoing significant construction work. This project, which is being managed by the contractor John R. Jurgensen Company, is expected to be completed by Friday, October 4. The construction involves resurfacing, joint sealing, and crack filling on various concrete surfaces along Terminal Drive and the access roads leading to it. Additionally, a small portion of the Long Term lot will also be included in the repairs.
During the construction period, airport visitors will notice directional signage to help them navigate through any traffic changes. The outside lane of the terminal entrance loop will be the first area to be worked on, with subsequent phases to follow.
“While we strive to minimize disruptions, some areas may experience temporary closures or restricted access during the repair process,” said Gil Turner, Director of Aviation. “We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to enhance our infrastructure.”
Airport officials are urging all drivers to exercise caution and drive slowly through the construction zones to ensure safety for both workers and travelers. This infrastructure improvement is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the facilities at Dayton International Airport.
