Riverside police identified shooting victim admitted to Miami Valley Hospital

Riverside, Ohio – Riverside police were alerted about a female suffering from gunshot wounds who was admitted to Miami Valley Hospital in mid-afternoon yesterday.

After responding to Miami Valley Hospital, police determined that the victims were in a car on US-35 heading eastbound when the vehicle was hit by gunfire. Hospital officials also told officers that one of the occupants of the vehicle, 31-year-old Shauna Cameron, had died.

The remaining two occupants of the vehicle notified authorities that they didn’t know the person who opened fire at them.

It was said the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m.

At this point, the police have not found a suspect or determined a motive for the shooting.

The incident will be investigated as a homicide.
