Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton’s Division of Waste Collection has announced its annual live Christmas tree collection program, running from December 30 through January 17. During this period, residents can place their Christmas trees curbside for pickup without needing a bulk collection request.
To ensure seamless collection, residents should place their tree two to three feet away from their regular waste and recycling containers. Trees must be at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on the regular collection day. Additionally, all decorations, such as lights, ornaments, and tinsel, must be completely removed from the tree prior to pickup.
After January 17, tree disposal will require a bulk collection request. This initiative provides a convenient way for Dayton residents to dispose of their holiday trees while keeping their neighborhoods clean. For further assistance or inquiries, contact the Division of Waste Collection.
