Residents evacuated after a fire at a Dayton apartment building

Dayton, Ohio – A fire at a Dayton apartment building drew the presence of firefighters at the scene.

Crews were sent to an apartment building on Mayfair Road at approximately 11:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire.

The structure in question was a five-unit apartment building, and two of them had been caught on fire. According to fire officials, the fire originated in the unit designated as A.

The tenants of the apartment building were reportedly evacuated by the authorities, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The Red Cross also responded to assist residents of the damaged apartment.
