Red Cross called for assistance after fire destroyed Dayton family house

Dayton, Ohio – After their house was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning, a family has turned to the Red Cross for assistance.

Dispatchers with Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said that firefighters were sent to a fire report on Ferndale Avenue in Dayton just after 1 a.m. When they arrived, they saw that the two-story house was already engulfed in flames.

However, according to the fire chief on the site, all residents were rescued from the home safely.

The Red Cross was contacted to assist the family in finding a temporary residence since their house had been badly damaged.
