Dayton, Ohio – A new branch of the Dayton Metro Library is set to open on Monday, April 25.
The Burkhardt Branch Library, located at 4704 Burkhardt Avenue, has a total space of 17,800 square feet and will open to the public at 9:30 a.m.
There will be an Opportunity Space, a quiet reading room with a fireplace, a community room, free meeting spaces, an open common area, an enclosed outdoor reading terrace, a “Soaring Beyond” themed children’s area, a TeenEDGE area with a gaming system, a copy nook, an increased number of laptops, early literacy computers, presentation equipment, bookstore-style displays, and plenty of parking in the new library.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m., prior to the branch’s official opening to the public.
