Police pursuit after a stolen vehicle canceled due to uncontrolled and high-speed driving

Moraine, Ohio – A suspect fled the scene after colliding with a police car in a stolen vehicle in Moraine on Friday.

A report from the Moraine Police Department (MPD) said that the incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at the Flying Ace Express Carwash on West Dorothy Lane. As the carwash was closing, officers saw a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Toledo and tried to stop it before it left.

The Kettering police car was intentionally struck by the driver of the stolen vehicle, according to the Moraine Police Department. After that, the motorist drove over a curb and smashed a carwash sign.

Officers from the Moraine followed the car as it made its way west on West Dorothy Lane. The car was last seen approaching I 75 Northbound from State Route 741 at a high rate of speed.

There were no injuries reported.

No arrests were made, nor has the suspect been identified.
