Dayton, Ohio – One person was wounded and rushed to the hospital after shots were fired at an apartment complex in Dayton.
According to information from Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, police were called to an apartment complex on Old Orchard Road at 12:30 a.m. Monday because shots were being fired.
According to initial reports, the victim was first hit with a gun and then shot. When responding crews arrived at the scene, they located a person suffering from a gunshot wound and transported them to Kettering Health Dayton for treatment. Information on his condition was not released.
The shooter fled the scene following the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
