One person hospitalized after being shot in Dayton

Dayton, Ohio – A person suffering from a gunshot wound was found near the 3500 block of Merrimac Avenue in Dayton.

The victim was found around 2:40 a.m. by emergency crews who responded to the scene, according to Montgomery County Dispatch.

Crews were not able to confirm whether the victim was shot at the scene where they were dispatched.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. Information about the extent of the injuries to the victim was not released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
