One arrested after a Dayton shooting that left one in critical condition

Dayton, Ohio – A gunshot that occurred in Dayton on Monday night and sent a 28-year-old man to the hospital also resulted in the arrest of a teenager.

It was just before 9:30 p.m. when police were called to the scene of the gunshot in the 200 block of Yale Avenue.

According to the police report, a 28-year-old man from Dayton sustained gunshot injuries to the back and face. He was transported to a hospital for treatment and is being listed as critical.

An investigation pointed at 19-year-old Treyshaun Parker as a suspect, and Dayton police took him into custody on a felonious assault charge early Tuesday.
