Cleveland, Ohio – The Ohio Lottery Partners in Education program is back, inviting nominations for exceptional teachers, students, and schools across Ohio. This initiative provides a platform for residents, parents, teachers, and administrators to recognize and reward excellence in K-12 education statewide through the Lottery’s website.
The Partners in Education program runs from September to May, during which three Academic All-Stars and three Teachers of the Month will be selected each month from nominations received statewide. The program aims to highlight the achievements of outstanding individuals who make a positive impact in Ohio’s educational community.
Recognizing Excellence in Education
“We are very excited for the new school year to begin as teachers and students across the state return to the classroom. The Partners in Education program not only supports our mission but also gives us the opportunity to acknowledge excellent students, teachers and schools statewide,” says Molly Fanta, Partners in Education Program Coordinator.
The program offers significant recognition and rewards for those honored. Teachers of the Month receive a $500 gift card, while Academic All-Stars are awarded a $100 gift card. Both students and teachers will also be celebrated with a feature story on the Ohio Lottery blog and shared across the Partners in Education social media channels, allowing their achievements to inspire others.
Nominations can be submitted by anyone through the Ohio Lottery website, with the deadline being the 10th of each month. The first drawing of winners is scheduled for October, and the program encourages all Ohioans to take part in nominating deserving individuals who are making a difference in education.
School of the Year Award
In addition to recognizing individual students and teachers, the program also awards a School of the Year. To qualify, schools must demonstrate a commitment to fostering and developing students’ literacy skills, driving success in reading and academic achievement. The winning school will receive a $2,500 gift card. Nominations for School of the Year are open until March 10, 2025.
