No one injured after a fire broke out at a Dayton home

Dayton, Ohio – On Friday evening, fire crews were sent to a home in Dayton after receiving a call about a fire.

Firefighters received a call in reference to a fire at a two-story building in the 100th block of North Gettysburg Avenue at around 9:42 p.m. It was also reported that there was heavy smoke inside the home.

Firefighters responded to the scene, safely evacuated residents from the home, and were able to extinguish the fire shortly before 10 p.m. There were no reports of injuries.

North Gettysburg Avenue was closed to traffic while firefighters were working to put out the fire. It reopened shortly after 10 p.m.
