Dayton, Ohio – Residents in Harrison Township will have a chance to meet local deputies in a relaxed and welcoming setting as the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosts a community event centered around conversation and connection.
The event, titled “Pizza with the Police,” is scheduled for April 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Marion’s Piazza, located at 3443 N. Dixie Drive. Community members are invited to stop by, meet law enforcement officers, and enjoy a casual environment that encourages open dialogue.
Community connection with a simple approach
Organizers say the goal of the gathering is to create a space where residents can interact directly with deputies without pressure or formality. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Harrison Township’s new captain, Isaiah Kellar, along with other local deputies who serve the area.
The event is designed to be informal, giving people the chance to ask questions, raise concerns, or simply have a friendly conversation. It also allows deputies to engage with residents in a setting that feels approachable and familiar.
Adding to the appeal, free pizza will be available for those who attend, though it will be offered while supplies last. There will be no formal presentations or scheduled speeches during the gathering. Instead, the focus remains on building relationships and strengthening trust between law enforcement and the community.
By creating opportunities like this, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office aims to foster better communication and understanding, helping residents feel more connected to the deputies who serve Harrison Township every day.
